What Is Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD)?

Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) is a program that offers a second chance to first-time offenders in Pennsylvania. It exists in most counties and is a form of alternative sentencing. If you are charged with drug possession, drunk driving, shoplifting, retail theft or other misdemeanors, we will do our best to get you into the program.

At Rowe Law Offices, P.C., we defend people charged with a wide variety of misdemeanors in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. Whether you were accused of DUI, shoplifting or drug possession, our experienced and aggressive defense lawyers can advocate for you to get into ARD.

How The Program Works

If you are accepted into the program, you must fulfill several requirements, including paying fines and performing community service. Once those requirements are met, your record can be expunged a year later. The charges against you go away, and you end up without a criminal record.

Let us explain in detail how the program works, the expected costs and timeline. We are happy to sit down and discuss your situation confidentially, without judgment. Our only goal is to get you the best possible outcome, so let’s sit down together as soon as possible. Instead of worrying and losing sleep, let our team calm your fears and develop a game plan to have the charges dismissed through ARD.
