Biography
After graduation from the Claude Pettit School of Law, located on the campus of Ohio Northern University, and after doing a year-long judicial clerkship for a 3-judge panel in Wicomico County, Maryland, Mike practiced with Brother-brother firm in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he remained until 1993. He concentrated on family law matters, some criminal matters, and civil litigation.
Attorney McFarlin started his own law firm in 1993 and practiced as a sole practitioner for approximately a decade, including several matters involving federal courts, and courts outside of Pennsylvania, where he practiced pro hac vice, with the permission of the bars of several different states. He spent another decade as an e-discovery attorney for Pepper Hamilton (now Pepper Troutman) in Philadelphia, working on multi-district pharmaceutical litigation.
Joining Rowe Law Offices P.C. in 2024, Attorney McFarlin has returned to his roots of working for a well-known firm focused on representing clients for divorce, custody, support and related matters, estate planning and administration, and real estate issues. Like the firm itself, he is dedicated to excellent, compassionate client service with an emphasis on candid, frank, and straightforward attorney-client communications, focused on client goals.
Attorney McFarlin is admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. His practice is currently concentrated primarily in the area of family law and divorce, custody, support, adoption, and guardianship matters, along with some specialized areas of civil litigation, including partition, involving dividing up jointly owned real estate in a court of equity.
